Oregonians Reject Largest Tax Increase in State History
$1.1 Billion Will Stay With Oregon 's Taxpayers (Feb. 3)

" Voters today rejected Measure 30, a compilation of $1.1 billion in new taxes, by a resounding margin of 60%-40% (as of 9 PM Pacific). The special election for Measure 30 was a referral of House Bill 2152, the comprehensive tax package passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor last fall."

"The Taxpayer Defense Fund today filed a complaint with the Oregon Elections Division after a third grade student was sent home with a “Yes on Ballot Measure 30” flyer distributed by the Oregon Education Association, National Education Association and Lincoln Park Elementary, part of the David Douglas School District."
