The Taxpayer Defense Fund was formed for the referral of House Bill 2152 and is the official campaign behind the effort.

TDF enjoys the tremendous amount of support from groups and organizations throughout the state.
“This campaign is not limited to one group or ideology,” said Russ Walker, Director of Oregon Citizens for a Sound Economy. “This is about Oregonians – working individuals, families, seniors, and businesses – coming together to do what is right for our state's economy.”
Walker is a chief petitioner for the referendum. Jason Williams of the Taxpayer Association of Oregon is a co-petitioner. Walker serves as the chief spokesman for the effort.
